me n perfume

My interest in fragrance started when I was in.. hmm.. I don’t quite remember, maybe since I was in primary or secondary school? But I do remember is that my ibu (I call my mom ibu) used to be an Avon dealer and I loved to buy them from her. My first perfume was Sweet Honesty. Veeeerryyyy sweet… Even though I don’t have them now, I can still remember and smell the scent. Hebat!! (It’s Malay word for Excellent)

Then I started to collect perfume miniatures collection from Avon. I still have them until now. Nearly 15 years I keep them.. Wow!! I wanted to use them but I feel sayang to use them. The bottles was so cute.

After I graduated high school, I went to Japan to further my studies. I don’t think Avon exists over there. So, to fullfill my needs on fragrance, I bought my first perfume at SOGO Hiroshima, Cashmere Mist by Donna Karan. From the moment I tried it at the store, I knew I had to have this. The scent was so delicate and fresh. I spent about 6,000yen (RM180), but it’s considered cheap over there. So, it’s ok loh.. Got money, can buy what.. But if I was in Malaysia, dalam mimpi la.. (in my dreams).

I also got free samples (i think they wanted to clear their stocks) on Tommy Girl by Tommy Hilfiger (I used them during my gym class) and Tommy Hilfiger Men (I gave this one to my best friend). Very nice scent. Then I used Salvatore Ferragamo Subtil, Gucci Rush 2, Hugo Boss Intense etc. These are very nice scent!! I like them sooooo much!! I’ll write a post on these items later. And now I’m using Salvatore Ferragamo (the white bottle). I’d love to try Issey Miyake’s.

Ok, that was my short story on me n perfume. I am much interested in fragrance/perfume history. Maybe I’ll write about it later.
